Based on the universally popular poetry of T.S. Eliot, CATS tells the story, in song and dance, of the annual gathering of Jellicle cats at which time one special cat is selected to ascend to the Heaviside layer. A true musical theatre phenomenon, CATS opened at London's New London Theatre on May 11, 1981 and ran for a record-setting 21 years. CATS's London success was nearly matched on Broadway where it ran at the Wintergarden Theatre for just over 18 years.Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber; Based on Old Possum's Book Of Practical Cats; By T. THE STINKY CHEESE MAN AND OTHER FAIRLY STUPID TALES

It's happily ever laughter in these warped fairy tales. Jack has to use his wits to save himself from the terrible Giant, but a host of familiar fairytale characters keep messing up his plans-and then there's that annoying Stinky Cheese Man! Characters slide in and out of stories and nothing is quite the same as you remember it from classic fairytales in this stage adaptation of the book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith. No character is safe from the silliness. There's Little Red Running Shorts, Cinderumpelstiltskin, and all the rest who make for a fun-filled musical that promises a gaggle of giggles for smart-alecks of all ages.
